Cookeville Mayor to issue a proclamation from the city
The Dept of Human Services – Vocational Rehabilitation, in partnership with the American Job Center (AJC), Dept of Labor and Workforce Development (DLWD) and the Putnam County Library (PCL) will be hosting our annual Employer Appreciation Day and Job Fair on Oct. 21, according to the TN Department of Human Services (DHS).
On Sept. 18, Cookeville Mayor Laurin Wheaton will be issuing a proclamation from the city that will recognize October as Disability Employment Awareness Month. According to TDHS, the proclamation will applaud “the contributions of people with disabilities to the success of the city as a whole.”
The job fair will be at the Putnam County Library, 50 E Broad St, at 3:30 p.m.
Employers in attendance at this time will be:
- Manpower
- Volunteer Behavioral Health
- Algood
- Cookeville Walmart
- Portobello
- Jackson Kayak
According to officials, several other businesses are pending confirmation.
