COVID vaccine hours changing

Melanie Jacobson with environmental services gets a vaccine from head pharmacist Casey White. The vaccine clinic hours will be changing beginning March 10.

COOKEVILLE— Over the past year, the pharmacy staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center have been available to administer the COVID vaccine to the public and healthcare employees on the front lines.

The state department of health is reporting that nearly 50% of Putnam County residents are fully vaccinated while almost 54% have at least one dose and 19% have a booster.

With the number of those seeking vaccines going down, the clinic hours will be changing.

Starting Thursday, March 10, the vaccine clinic will be held from 1-5 p.m. each week in the North Patient Tower lobby.

Only two vaccines will be available: Pfizer and Moderna.
