New Ownership Brings a Familiar Name And Continued Commitment to Area Riders

(UCBJ) – Country Roads Harley-Davidson (CR) wanted more than a traditional ribbon-cutting Monday afternoon at 1424 Interstate Drive in Cookeville. It wanted to put a little more steel into the celebration.

So, the dealership traded the ribbon for a chain-cutting ceremony, giving the event a unique twist for CR, formerly known as Boswell’s Country Roads Harley-Davidson and now part of the growing Crown-Smoky Mountain Motor Company family of dealerships across Tennessee and North Carolina.

“The partnership has strong local roots through Crown-Smoky Mountain founder and president Scott Maddux, a Baxter native and Tennessee Tech alumnus,” according to the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, which was on hand for the event.

The Chamber says that while the dealership’s name may have changed, its commitment to the Upper Cumberland riding community remains. Country Roads Harley-Davidson offers new and pre-owned motorcycles, along with service, parts, accessories and riding gear.

“First of all, I would like to say thanks from all of us here at Country Roads Harley-Davidson to everyone who participated today. Also, we would like to thank the Law Tigers for sponsoring this event and Putnam County Sheriff’s Department for escorting us out of town to the county line. Thanks, guys. You keep us safe, and everyone who participated and made this event special. Till next time. Stay safe,” according to a Facebook post by CR.
