New campaign invites visitors to explore beyond Historic Livingston Square
(UCBJ) – The Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce has been awarded $30,000 from the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development to support tourism marketing efforts in Overton County.
The funding will help the Chamber launch its new tourism brand, Visit Historic Livingston Square, which encourages visitors to begin their trip in the heart of downtown Livingston before exploring the many attractions and communities throughout Overton County.
“This funding will help us launch our new tourism brand, Visit Historic Livingston Square, which invites visitors to start their trip in the heart of downtown and then head just off the square to discover everything Overton County has to offer,” according to the Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce.
The campaign will promote a variety of destinations and experiences, including:
- Dale Hollow Lake
- Standing Stone State Park
- The area’s unincorporated communities and rural backroads
The goal is to showcase the broader Overton County area and encourage visitors to explore beyond the historic Livingston Square.
The $30,000 award comes from the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. The Chamber said increased tourism can also provide economic benefits to local businesses.
“Tourism dollars mean more customers for our local shops and restaurants, more support for our small businesses, and more opportunity for the people who call Overton County home,” according to the Chamber.
