Jason Grider brings over 35 years of experience in the radio industry

Jason Grider is the new General Manager for Cookeville Communications (CC), home to 94.7 The Country Giant, 98.5 KISS FM, News Talk 1077 and 1400 The HUB and 106.1 The Eagle in the Upper Cumberland, the company has announced.

Grider brings over 35 years of experience in the radio industry and a “wealth of knowledge and expertise” to the role, according to a release by the company. At 15 years old Grider began his radio journey at WPTN (now known as 106.1 The Eagle) before an expansive career earmarked by stays in various markets throughout the U.S.

Everywhere he has been, success has followed, according to the release, including being one of the most listened to country morning shows in America while at WKHX in Atlanta.

“I am thrilled to be taking on this new role with Cookeville Communications,” said Grider. “These stations have always held a special place in my heart, and I am looking forward to working with the talented team here to make our radio stations the best in the Upper Cumberland.”

In addition to his role as general manager, Jason also hosts Good Morning Cookeville on 1077 and 1400 The HUB alongside longtime Upper Cumberland radio host Sheila Scruggs.

“His dedication to the community and passion for radio make him the perfect fit for this position,” said CC in a statement.
