Cookeville Chamber to host municipal candidate forum

Candidates at the June 28 forum will be asked questions submitted by the community with UCBJ Founder and Publisher Mike McCloud as moderator.

Cookeville Meet the Candidates will take place June 28 at Leslie Town Centre

COOKEVILLE – The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will host the City of Cookeville Meet the Candidates Forum on Tuesday, June 28 at the Leslie Town Centre. The event is sponsored by the Upper Cumberland Business Journal. 

The event will bring both candidates and voters to the Leslie Town Centre to hear from candidates vying for five positions on Cookeville’s City Council. During the event, candidates will be asked questions on topics including but not limited to economic development, business, taxes, tourism, growth and industrial development.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. and will last until 6:30 p.m. Event attendance is free for chamber members while non-members can purchase a ticket for $10 prior to the event and $15 at the door. Light refreshments will be provided.
