Rates either remained the same or dropped in November

Upper Cumberland – Unemployment rates across the board are down in the Upper Cumberland with the exception of Clay and Cumberland which remained the same in November.

Warren County dropped 3.7% from 7.5% in October to 3.8% last month.

Elsewhere in the Upper Cumberland, Cannon County sits at 3%, down from 3.6% last month, while Clay remained at 4.7% in November. Cumberland County remained at 4.4% last month and DeKalb County landed at 4%, down from 4.6% in October.

Fentress dropped to 3.5% from 3.8% a month ago while Van Buren landed at 4.5%. Jackson County stands at 4%, and Macon County’s number dropped from 3.2% to 3%.

Overton landed at 3.4% while Putnam sits at a 3.5%, down from 3.8% in October. Smith landed at 3.1%.

White County sits at 3.5% while Pickett rose from 4.6% in October to 4.7% last month.

Pickett, Clay and Van Buren landed in the top 10 highest numbers in the state.
