Ceremony was held at Avery Trace Middle School

“What a great way to start 2026,” said the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) who was on hand for the first Adopt-A-School adoption ceremony of the year.

The Adopt-a-School program connects businesses organizations and community groups with local schools to provide resources, volunteers, and support. The goal is to improve student achievement and provide role models while providing unique learning experiences with a focus on STEM.

Partnerships include:

  • donations
  • tutoring
  • career exposure
  • infrastructure help
  • mentorship

The ceremony was held at Avery Trace Middle School.

“This morning, Avery Trace Middle School hosted the first Adopt-A-School adoption ceremony of the year, serving as a great reminder of the strong partnerships between our business community and local schools,” according to the Chamber.

Businesses honored as ATMS’s newest adopters were:

“These businesses are proudly “All In on Avery Trace,” and represent the very best of how our community comes together to support one another,” according to the Chamber.
