Loss will be a blow to both the economy and the community
Monday morning, one of the longest standing businesses in Putnam County announced its closure.
Bordens Jewelry, which opened its doors in 1900 and is considered “Cookeville’s Premier Jeweler” announced it would close the doors to its 135 East Broad Street, Cookeville location. It is the end of an era in Putnam County.
“After 124 years, Borden’s Jewelry will close its doors effective Aug. 31,” announced the Jeweler via Facebook.
From the store’s exquisite yearly Christmas window dressings to its century long dedication to customer service, the loss will be a blow to both the economy and the community.
If you have any unfinished business, connect with the store.
“If you have merchandise that needs to be picked up, please call or text 931-979-4700,” according to the post.
