Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Set For Sept. 10 as Longtime Local Restaurant Launches New Food Truck
(UCBJ) – Everyone gets nostalgic now and then. Whether it’s memories of Sunday mornings at Grandma’s house or the smell of a Blockbuster Video on a Friday night, nostalgia comes in waves. Algood Diner (AD), located at 433 W. Main St. in Cookeville, is taking its nostalgia on the road with a new food truck.
AD is known for its retro 1950s-style comfort food and Southern hospitality.
The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will hold a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 2 to 2:30 p.m. to celebrate the launch.
AD has been family-owned and operated since 1997.
“The new food truck will bring familiar favorites to events and stops throughout the community, making it even easier to enjoy everything people love about Algood Diner,” according to the Chamber. “Come celebrate this new mobile chapter for Algood Diner and help send the Moss family’s food truck out into the community!”
