PUTNAM COUNTY – The luxury housing market slowed in June with only six houses selling for above the $700,000 mark. Those were located from east Cookeville to Cumberland Cove. Swimming pools are still not a priority for luxury homes, but larger lots are with the top house sitting on 4.43 acres over two lots.

The top home sits in Falling Water Farms and brought a sale price of $900,000. The 4,425 square-foot, three-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home sold for $203 per square foot, down from last month’s high of $230.

Since Jan. 1, 2022, there have been 1,735 homes sold in the region covered by the Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors. During the seven-month period, 2,470 homes were listed, and average time on the market before sale was 75 days. The average sale price was $324,585.
