COOKEVILLE – The post-pandemic workplace is a vastly different landscape from the pre-2020 business world, and the Tennessee Tech College of Business wants to help you navigate those changes.

College of Business Dean Tom Payne will moderate a leadership panel focusing on trends, challenges and opportunities to navigate “Work in a COVID World” during a luncheon prior to the Business, Government and Non-Profit Job and Internship Fair on Sept. 21 at the Hooper Eblen Center.

“We know that the post-pandemic workplace will be very different than it was in early 2020,” said Payne. “Our panel of experts will share their vision of what will soon be the new normal. We will discuss the solutions being deployed and the opportunities to transform how we will engage with coworkers, serve customers and recruit the best employees in the post-pandemic world.”

Panelists for the discussion will discuss several topics of importance to leaders in today’s business world. Architect and interior designer Kara Gee with Smith Gee Studios will be sharing new workspace, corporate and office design trends. Tech alumnus Angela Bruce, a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and currently the director of human resources for TUTCO, Farnam and SureHeat, will discuss managing a remote and in-person distributed workforce. Matt Largen, CEO & President of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, will participate by sharing information about the changing nature of the workforce and trends in economic development.

The luncheon will be from 12 – 1:30 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest at the Hooper Eblen Center. There is no cost to attend, but seats are limited. Please contact the College of Business at 931-372-3372 to RSVP.
