Lebanon – Wilson Bank & Trust (WBT) is now an official Fannie Mae seller/servicer for secondary market mortgages, bank officials announced today.
The Fannie Mae designation enhances the bank’s mortgage product offerings, and allows WBT to use its capital markets to deliver mortgage loans to Fannie Mae for the best available pricing.
“We’re excited to be taking the next step in mortgage lending, with a Fannie Mae partnership that allows us to service secondary market loans ourselves when that’s the best option,” WBT President John McDearman said. “We’ll also have some new pricing advantages, so we’re solidifying our role as a leading mortgage lender among the community banks in our area and throughout the region.”
The distinction adds to a legacy that began in December 1987, when Wilson Bank & Trust became one of the first banks in Middle Tennessee to obtain Freddie Mac seller/servicer approval.
Secondary market mortgage loans are offered in each community in the bank’s nine-county service area. Wilson Bank & Trust’s Mortgage Center is located at 1436 West Main in Lebanon.
Wilson Bank & Trust (www.wilsonbank.com), member FDIC and an Equal Housing Lender, is a community bank established in 1987 to provide personal and professional service in a hometown setting. One of the top banks in the South in stability, products, technology, growth and earnings, WB&T currently operates 28 full-service offices.
