Wildwood Employee Scholarship Program awards nine scholarships to area students

GRANVILLE – Wildwood Resort and Marina in Granville awarded nine employees a $1,000 scholarship to provide general assistance towards the cost of higher education. These awards are renewable annually as long as the student continues to demonstrate progress toward a degree.

The following students were awarded the Wildwood Employee Scholarship:

Maggie Apple                          Emmie Huffines                      Jonah Smith

Each of these students is employed by Wildwood Resort & Marina in roles ranging from food service delivery to concierge. They live in nearby Brush Creek, Buffalo Valley, Carthage, Cookeville, Gainesboro and Pleasant Shade and represent Jackson, Putnam and Smith counties.

The award recipients are enrolled full-time in college degree programs at Cumberland University, Fortis University, Lipscomb University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee Tech and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. The degree programs being pursued by these students include criminal justice administration, education, history, law, justice & society, nursing, physical therapy and radiologic technology.
