Collaboration will enhance aerospace research
According to the TNECD, Tennessee Tech University and Whisper Aero are partnering.
“With support from TNECD’s Transportation Network Growth Opportunity (TNGO) initiative, Tennessee Tech University and Whisper Aero are partnering to advance next-generation propulsion technology in the aerospace industry,” according to a release by TNECD.
TNECD says the collaboration will “enhance aerospace research and workforce development” to ensure Tennessee remains a “leader in cutting-edge mobility solutions.”
This is just one of several projects in Transportation Network Growth Opportunity’s (TNGO) Round 2 of funding, according to the release. The TNGO initiative (under TNECD and in partnership with Launch Tennessee and Team Tennessee) is an economic development tool designed to connect statewide research assets, communities and talent to spark new research and innovation in this sector.
TNECD says that more partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks.
