Weather related closings announced

UPPER CMBERLAND – The rapidly deteriorating weather conditions have resulted in a rash of closures across the Upper Cumberland. Closures will be updated here as they are received, so check back often for more information.

Cookeville – City Hall and all city offices will be closing at 10:30 a.m. due to inclement weather. Anyone needing assistance can call 931-526-9591 for after hours service. Leisure Services will close all facilities including gated parks and restrooms.

Cumberland County – Certain county offices will be closing for impending weather at 10 am CST. This includes all offices in the old Courthouse, Trustee and Property Assessor offices in the Milo Lemert building, the Election Commission at 83 Northside Ln, and the Clerk & Master and Circuit Court Clerk offices located inside the justice center.

Putnam County – The Putnam County Board of Education meeting scheduled for Jan. 6 has been postponed. A new date will be set at a later time.

Business closings

Tennessee Tech University – Offices closing at 10 a.m. today. Dining – Caf open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Starbucks & CFA closing at 1 p.m. Mail – Closing at 12 p.m. Bookstore – Closing at 1 p.m. Business Office – Open virtually until 5:30 p.m.

Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center Cookeville – The office will be closing at 11 a.m. today.

Twin Lakes – Service offices will be closed today, but service is available via phone or chat.

WCTE – Offices will be closed Jan. 6 & 7 due to weather.
