UPPER CUMBERLAND – WCTE wants to help you shop this holiday season. WCTE’s Holiday Auction is an online auction featuring many PBS items, art and much more. Some of the exciting items are Bob Ross branded T-shirt and blanket, Mister Roger’s Neighborhood face mask and a microphone signed by singer songwriter Josh Groban. This event is just in time to get something for every member of your family and those hard to shop for friends. This auction features over 80 PBS and other donated items.
WCTE’s first annual Holiday Auction can be found at wcte.org. This auction is all online and will not be broadcast on TV. There is something there for the whole family. The auction is only open until Dec. 10 at midnight. However, you can bid on your favorite items at any point and from anywhere.
This fundraiser supports WCTE in their various events like “Stations of Imagination” and local productions like Emmy-nominated “Tennessee Tornado: Putnam Strong.” Fundraisers like these help WCTE and other PBS stations to serve communities like Upper Cumberland.
“WCTE’s Holiday Auction is something new we are doing this year as a fundraiser for the station, and we hope it offers our viewers a few unique gifts for the PBS fan in their life,” said Avery Hutchins, director of development and marketing at WCTE PBS.
WCTE Central TN PBS has served the Upper Cumberland 40+ years as the region’s premier storyteller and is the only television station in a 75-mile radius of Cookeville making it a strategic partner in education, health services, government, arts and music. WCTE is a 501(c) 3 and is owned and operated by the Upper Cumberland Broadcast Council. WCTE Central TN PBS is one of only 350 PBS member stations nationwide.
