Rates up across the board

Upper Cumberland – Unemployment’s rates across the board are up in the Upper Cumberland.

Warren County has the highest rate at 7.5%. That number is up 3.5% from last month when the county sat at 4%.

Elsewhere in the Upper Cumberland, Cannon County sits at 3.6%, up from 3.2% last month, while Clay rose from 4.5% to 4.7% in October. Cumberland County lifted from 4.3% in September to 4.4% last month and DeKalb County landed at 4.6%.

Fentress rose to 3.8% from 3.7% a month ago while Van Buren landed at 6.0%. Jackson County stands at 4.3%, up from 4.2% in September, and Macon County’s number rose from 3.1% to 3.2%.

Overton lifted from 3.5% to 3.7% while Putnam sits at a 3.8%, up from 3.6% from the previous month. Smith landed at 3.2% and Warren landed at 4%.

White County sits at 4.2% while Pickett rose from 4.3% to 4.6%.
