BENTONVILLE, Ark – It’s the dream of every entrepreneur to have your product showcased in the biggest marketplace in the world. That dream could be a reality for those chosen in Walmart’s seventh annual “Open Call,” accepting applications until Aug. 10.

Walmart’s “Open Call” is an exciting and unique opportunity for selected entrepreneurs to meet virtually face-to-face with Walmart buyers and potentially get their U.S.-manufactured product in the hands of millions of our customers. Applications can be submitted here.

When the application portal closes, members of Walmart’s U.S. manufacturing team will review the applications and issue invitations for the chosen finalists to pitch their products on Oct. 1 in a virtual one-on-one meeting with Walmart buyers.

In 2013, Walmart pledged to purchase approximately $250 billion in products by 2023 that support the creation of American jobs. According to data from its suppliers, items that are made, sourced or grown right here in America account for about two-thirds of what Walmart spends to buy products for our U.S. stores – but there is room to do more.

It is estimated this commitment could create 1 million new American jobs, including direct manufacturing job growth of approximately 250,000, and indirect job growth of 750,000 in the support and service sectors.
