COOKEVILLE – The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation raised nearly $30,000 for patients in need during a “Double Your Donation Day” event last week.
On Tuesday, community members and partners donated $13,195 to the hospital nonprofit – those funds will be matched dollar-for-dollar, bringing the one-day total to $26,390.
All donations go toward charitable programs and services at CRMC. Funds include Caring Hands, cancer care, Humble Hearts, diabetes care, mental health care, palliative care, pediatric care, Community Health Project, the Pink Ribbon of Hope Program, Angel Garden, Art for Healing Program, pet therapy program, patient assistance endowment fund and more.
“On behalf of the thousands of patients who benefit from Foundation programs and services, thank you,” John Bell, foundation director, said in an email release with the final results.
The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that looks to enhance the quality and availability of health care in the Upper Cumberland by offering charitable assistance to patients, supporting free or reduced health care services for the public and more.
