4 new procedure rooms, major capacity boost
(UCBJ) – Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) will soon begin construction on a “state-of-the-art” Endoscopy Suite on the main floor of their medical center.
“This exciting expansion reflects CRMC’s unwavering commitment to advancing patient care, increasing access to specialized services and delivering exceptional healthcare experiences to the communities we serve. It will hold new four procedure rooms and 10 pre/post procedure rooms,” according to a release from the hospital
CRMC says it is dedicated to minimizing any patient, visitor or staff disruption.
“Clear directional signage has been placed around the construction areas located next to Same Day Surgery, and members of CRMC’s Patient. Experience Team will be on hand to assist with navigation and answer any questions.”
CRMC has given directional tips below:
Patients and visitors entering the East Entrance and going to Same Day Surgery, please proceed to the area as normal. Once settled, if one needs to leave the Same Day Surgery waiting room, please use the stairs or gold elevator to the second floor to exit or make it to a new destination like the cafeteria, main lobby, coffee shop, etc.
If you are in the main lobby area, or enter through CRMC’s main lobby, take the main lobby elevators to the second floor and proceed to the East Entrance. Once at the East Entrance, one will see stairs or a gold elevator and they can take it to the first floor to return to the Same Day Surgery area.
“Members of the CRMC Patient Experience Team will be stationed throughout the facility during construction to personally assist patients and visitors with directions and answer any questions. Please don’t hesitate to approach any team member wearing a CRMC badge,” according to the release.
The project is expected to be completed in Feb. 2027.
