TTU Fall Celebration set for Sept. 26

COOKEVILLE – Gov. Bill Lee will be the featured speaker at the Tennessee Tech College of Business Fall Celebration on Sept. 26 at the Leslie Town Centre. This year the College of Business (COB) will honor Mark and Mona Gill as the Louis Johnson Outstanding Alumnus of the Year and Randall Clemmons as the Outstanding Business Leader of the Year.

The Fall Celebration is an annual event held by the COB to honor the outstanding alumnus of the year and the outstanding business leader of the year. Lee will kick off the 2018/2019 Distinguished Lecture Series.

Lee will be speaking on the importance of leadership and his plan for the accelerated transformation of rural Tennessee. Prior to becoming the 50th governor of Tennessee, Lee served as president of Lee Company for close to 25 years. Lee Company is a comprehensive construction company which has been recognized multiple times by the “Tennessean” as one of Tennessee’s Top Places to Work.  

The COB Advisory Board has chosen to honor Randall Clemmons as the outstanding business leader of the year. Clemmons has a decades-long career in the mid-state banking industry and is currently with Wilson Bank & Trust.

The Fall Celebration will be held at the Leslie Town Centre, 1 W. First St. The reception starts at 6 p.m. with the dinner program beginning at 7 p.m. Reservations are required. Tickets are $25 and available at https://www.tntech.edu/business/celebration-dinner.php.
