SPARTA – Sparta-based Tri State Distribution Inc. has been acquired by Consolidated Container Company (CCC). Tri State, a leading retail pharmaceutical packaging solutions provider, has provided innovative and high-quality products such as vials, closures, and labels to retail pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies for nearly 30 years.
“CCC is excited to welcome the employees of Tri State Distribution into the CCC family,” said Sean Fallmann, president and CEO of CCC. “Under Dave and Joe Miceli’s leadership, the company has established an outstanding reputation for innovative packaging solutions with excellent quality and customer service in the pharmaceutical packaging market. We look forward to continuing to build upon the foundation of excellence that they have created.”
Tri State was founded in 1992 in Spencer by brothers Dave and Joe Miceli, who opened the Sparta manufacturing plant in 1998 as an 8,000-square-foot facility. Since that time the Sparta facility has grown to almost 350,000 square feet on 23 acres. Tri State also has three satellite distribution facilities in Harrisburg, Pa., Lenexa, Kan., and Reno, Nev.
“The Tri State team is proud of what we’ve accomplished in the past 30 years. This is an ideal time for us to partner Tri State with CCC, as we welcome a new phase of growth,” stated Dave Miceli.
“Our companies share similar visions and principles,” added Joe Miceli. “CCC believes in and supports the value we bring to our customers and the pharmaceutical packaging segment and will continue to invest in our products, services and team.”
Tri State has been innovative throughout the years receiving over 40 patents for containers, closures and labels. The company uses injection blow molding to create bottles and closures that are child-proof but easily convertible to easy open for seniors.
