The sculpture was commissioned by Leadership Putnam group

Cookeville – Everyone needs a little hope amidst tragedy. Local artists Brad Sells and David Fricke designed the “Tree of Hope” sculpture to give just that.

Recently, community leaders and Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) members unveiled the work to the community. The sculpture was commissioned by a 2022 Leadership Putnam group as a tribute to those who were affected by the 2020 tornadoes.

“It serves as a reminder of how our community gathers around each other during difficult times,” said the Chamber in a statement, “showing strength and resilience through support.”

You can find the sculpture near the Broad Street entrance of Dogwood Park in Cookeville.
