Third times a charm for ‘Packs for Pints’

UPPER CUMBERLAND – The Upper Cumberland Young Lawyers Association will once again partner with Red Silo Brewing Company and The Biz Foundry to host the third annual Packs for Pints event. This event helps local foster children be ready to head back to school with new backpacks as well as school supplies. The event will take place on July 21, starting at 5 p.m.

Last year’s event provided 290 backpacks to local students. This year organizers would like to see that number grow. With over 400 children living in foster care in the UC, this singular event can help to support a decent portion of those children.

Red Silo Brewing Company has also teamed up to support the cause. Anyone who brings a backpack filled with school supplies will receive a free drink ticket to use on any Red Silo pint. Bring as many backpacks with school supplies as you’d like as well and invite friends and family – all are welcome!

The Biz Foundry Director of Engagement and Outreach Tiffany Anton stated, “This

event is a great collaboration of organizations in Putnam County that just want to help

support education in any way possible.”

The Biz Foundry is the Upper Cumberland’s entrepreneur center and operates under the LaunchTN umbrella. It is a non-profit entrepreneur center and coworking space servicing the region since 2012.

The Upper Cumberland Young Lawyers Association is an affiliate of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and has been an active member of the community since 2008.

Red Silo Brewing Company is the first micro-brewery to open in Putnam County and has been serving a variety of beers since 2016.
