Patients will enter through the bottom floor doors under the breezeway

The Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center at Cookeville Regional Medical Center is excited to announce that it is moving to a new suite in the newly renovated Tennessee Heart building, 222 W 4th Street, Suite 301, in Cookeville. The cardiac and pulmonary rehab staff will officially start seeing patients at their new space Monday, April 28, 2025.

“Things just got even better at our cardiac and pulmonary rehab center,” said Debbie Baker, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center Director. “We have a new, beautiful, much larger space to welcome our cardiac and lung surgery patients, whom we love, and the wellness members as well.”

Patients can park on either side of the building and will enter through the bottom floor doors under the breezeway. The Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center at Cookeville Regional is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). They see patients after cardiac or lung surgeries or procedures.

“At our center, patients become family. We have the best staff and patients at our center,” said Baker. “We all work together to do what is best for our patients, so they get better. Providing the best rehabilitation for our patients is the priority and that is why we invest in AACVPR and keep up with the latest and best practices. Seeing our new location come to life is a dream and we are grateful to be able to continue to provide the best in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation to the people in the Upper Cumberland. We welcome everyone to our new home April 28.”

A multidisciplinary team, including the medical director, nurses, exercise physiologists, registered dietitian and pharmacist, works with everyone to design a customized exercise program and behavior modification plan to reduce cardiovascular risk factors. They send those reports back to the patient’s physician. Family members are included and a vital part of the rehab process.

They also offer a wellness program where patients can continue using the cardiac and pulmonary rehab gym and continue a healthier way of life for $50 a month. The Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center will be closed for their move Thursday, April 24, and Friday, April 25, and will reopen Monday, April 28, at their new location at 222 W 4th Street, Suite 301, in Cookeville.
