The Boardroom Steakhouse finally held its long-awaited official ribbon cutting at 102 S. Main Street in Gainesboro. The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, local officials and community leaders were on hand for the event, which featured an “early dinner” soon after.

The restaurant is owned by Pete and Cassie Kessler. The Kesslers moved to Jackson County at the end of 2019 to open The Stolen Coin Oyster Bar and Bistro, which opened in July 2020. According to a statement, the “Kesslers felt the need to fill the void left behind by the beloved Bull and Thistle (BT).”

BT closed in Dec. 22. Local Marc Stengel and his development company Wasioto Restoration Co. (WRC) purchased the property late last year.
