The Biz Foundry celebrates International Coworking Day by hosting free coworking events

COOKEVILLE– The Biz Foundry (TBF) is hosting free coworking events in Cookeville, Sparta, and McMinnville on Aug. 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The events celebrate International Coworking Day by inviting the community to participate in a free day of coworking and festivities.

The events will include complimentary food and refreshments, as well as WiFi and work spaces for those who wish to participate in the coworking aspect of the day. The public is invited to stop by for free lunch, to learn more about TBF and to discover what coworking is all about.

International Coworking Day is a global day of celebration. Coworking is not just about the physical spaces in which we work. It is about the spirit of collaboration and community growth that is missing from the corporate workspace. Coworking spaces are the catalysts of economic growth and innovation in their communities. They provide work and community spaces for small businesses, freelancers, remote workers and even students. Everyone is welcome in a coworking space.

“We are excited to share the joys of coworking and entrepreneurial collaboration with our communities,” said Tiffany Anton, TBF director of outreach & engagement. “The cities of Cookeville, McMinnville and Sparta have been so welcoming to our organization, and we are so appreciative of that hospitality. Free Coworking Day is our opportunity to show that thanks and to give back to those communities.”

The events in Cookeville and McMinnville will take place at TBF’s locations in those cities. TBF is located at 114 North Cedar Ave in Cookeville and at 118 South Court Square in McMinnville.

TBF’s Sparta location is still under construction, so TBF will cohost the event at Happy Trails Brewery & Taproom. Happy Trails, located at 38 East Bockman Way in Sparta, will open early for this event and will return to normal business hours after the event’s close.
