The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade to exhibit in Knoxville

FAIRFIELD GLADE – The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade announced the selection of 58 pieces of art created by 29 members to be displayed in the Art & Culture Alliance’s Members Exhibit at the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville from Jan. 8-29. 

Entries selected feature traditional art mediums (acrylics, oil, watercolor, pastels), glass mosaic, pottery, mixed media, photography, jewelry, fiber, felted fiber, leather and wood. This exhibition amplifies the Guild’s goals of “Teach, Learn & Inspire” and supports many forms of visual arts.
 
There will be a special art exhibit opening reception at the Emporium Center on Friday, Jan. 8 from 5 – 8 p.m. EST. The reception is free and open to the public and will celebrate the artists and their artwork. The Emporium Center is located at 100 S. Gay Street in downtown Knoxville.
 
The Art & Culture Alliance’s Members Exhibit is the largest annual exhibition of local artists in the Greater Knoxville area. The Art Guild at Fairfield Glade is a continuing member organization of the Alliance and a featured group exhibit of the 2021 Members Exhibit.

All visitors to the Emporium are asked to wear a mask and maintain physical distancing guidelines. Regular Emporium gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. Admission is free and the exhibit is open to the public.
 
Due to the special reception at the Emporium in Knoxville, there will be no regular Fun & Wine Reception at the Plateau Creative Art Center (PCAC) in January. In the PCAC Gallery, the Special Fiber Art Exhibit and December members gallery exhibit will continue on display through Feb. 4 during the winter hours, which are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The public is encouraged to visit the Plateau Creative Art Center, where the Guild offers original art and unique gifts for viewing and for sale, both in the gallery and in their new retail space, “Endless Possibilities, Fine Arts & Crafts.”
