Cookeville – Wine on The WestSide is a tradition in Cookeville, Tn. Craft beer lovers and wine adorers gather yearly to enjoy the best of both offered around the Upper Cumberland area. Described as a “street party” where you can “sip and stroll”, last year people from all around gathered in Cookeville’s WestSide cultural district to enjoy the featured 125 wines and craft beers, 35 tasting tents, two live bands, DJ and food samplings.
This year there will be no wining and dining on the WestSide. CityScape of Cookeville has announced, despite valiant efforts and a new date scheduled for October, supply chain issues have made the event impossible to pull off.
“It is unfortunate to announce that Wine on the WestSide will not be taking place in 2022,” said Tiffany Davidson, chair of the CityScape board. “This event has a very specific set of requirements to operate, and we could not get the supplies needed to meet regulations. Wine on the WestSide is a wonderful outdoor event we are excited to bring back in 2023.”
Davidson said CityScape is disappointed, but plans are already in the works for next year’s event.
“We truly appreciate the community and the continuous support for CityScape,” said Davidson. “I speak on behalf of the CityScape board when I say we are passionate about downtown Cookeville and committed to working with local government, business owners and merchants to enhance and preserve our downtown area. We are already planning for next year and have received communication that supplies should be available to make the event happen.”
