Wont reopen until 2024
Monroe – Sunset Marina will not reopen until 2024 but has begun the rebuilding process following a fire earlier this month that damaged most of the facility and forced General Manager Brad Richardson to be air lifted to the hospital.
Sunset addressed customers via Facebook.
“After prayer and careful consideration by both marina & restaurant management, and out of safety for our customers, and the safety of our crews, Sunset Restaurant by The Steel Coop, will not reopen this year,” according to the post. “We apologize for any inconvenience for you, our valued customers, but we hope you will visit us in 2024. Your prayers and support during our re-building process are greatly appreciated.”
Sunset also announced one of their vendors, Lake Stuff, has donated t-shirts to honor the marina and the team working to rebuild. All profits from the shirts will go directly toward the marina’s rebuilding efforts.
“Your support helps keep this team working to rebuild and keep this Team together to serve our community long into the future,” said Sunset. “From our Family to yours … Thank You for all you have done and continue to do.”
