Marina looks to restore computer backups this week
Monroe – Last week Sunset Marina (Sunset) in Monroe caught fire after a boat slammed into a a gas pump. The marina was partially destroyed including the computers and with them much of the database for boat owners and account owners at the marina.
In a recent post to Facebook, the marina is asking for help.
“If you are a boat owner and/or an account holder here at Sunset Marina, WE NEED YOUR HELP to restore our database, while we await our computers and off-site backup to be restored,” reads the post.”
Sunset says they hope to get the backup restored this week. They are asking people send an email to info@sunsetmarina.com with the following information:

- Boat Slip number (s):
- Preferred email:
- Phone # (s):
In other news, the marina’s general manager Brad Richardson is out of the hospital and recovering following suffering second degree burns during the fire and being airlifted to the hospital.
“So thankful to welcome Brad home from the hospital,” said Sunset in a Facebook post. “He’s in great spirits. He’s tolerating some moderate pain. He’s thankful to everyone who prayed for him.”
