Chamber – “Developing ourselves personally and professionally is so important”
The Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is offering two trainings for those in the local business community who are looking for development, “My Stomach is in Knots! Preparing for Difficult Conversations” and “Social Media for Small Businesses.”
“Making time to developing ourselves personally and professionally is so important in this ever-changing world of technology and new ways of working,” said the Chamber.
“My Stomach is in Knots! Preparing for Difficult Conversations” is set for March 26 at 2 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre. Hosted by Tammy Key, of Key Learning and Development, attendees can expect the following:
- Learn to identify a difficult conversation that you need to have.
- Decide what you really want in a relationship (professional or personal).
- Differentiate between facts and stories.
- Determine how you might be contributing to a tense situation.
- Create a plan for your difficult conversation.
Each attendee will a receive a copy of Difficult Conversations by The Harvard Negotiation Project.
My stomach is in Knots
“Social Media for Small Businesses” is scheduled for April 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Leslie Town Centre.
“Hosted by Jodi Pitts with Magnolia Marketing, the TN Small Business Development and TN Tech, this training will focus on key tools to best manage Facebook, Ads, Meta and Instagram,” according to the Chamber.
