Six major job fairs scheduled in July

UPPER CUMBERLAND – Many businesses across the region are in desperate need of workers. To help meet this demand, the American Job Center has scheduled six job fairs across the Upper Cumberland.  

The following job fairs are scheduld across the region. Companies and job seekers are encouraged to register for the following events. All job fairs are still accepting employers with the exception of the July 7 job fair that has a waiting list for employers.

July 7 – Cookeville Community Center 240 Carlen Dr. There will be a veterans hour 9 – 10 a.m. when only veterans will be allowed to speak with employers. The general public is invited 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

July 9 – Overton County Job Fair at the Joe L Evins Community Center. There will be a veterans hour 9 – 10 a.m. when only veterans will be allowed to speak with employers. The general public is invited 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

July 13 – Macon County Fairgrounds, Sally Wells Bldg. The general public is invited 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

July 15 – Jackson Co Middle School Gym. The general public is invited 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

July 22 – Dekalb County Community Center. The general public is invited 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Week of July 26 – Monterey High School Auxillary Gym. Details coming soon.

Job seekers are encouraged to come prepared to interview in proper attire and with resumes in hand. Job seekers are encouraged to visit the American Job Center (AJC) located at 1000 England Drive, Suite 101 in Cookeville for assistance in job searches and in preparing for the job fairs or interviews, with help in resume preparation and interview tips.
