Sign-ups underway for CRMC Golf Classic

COOKEVILLE – The Cookeville Regional Medical Center Golf Classic is quickly approaching. This year, the featured celebrity guest will be former University of Tennessee Volunteer and Dallas Cowboy, Bill Bates.

The tournament is again a two-day event with a four-person scramble format, which will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, and Friday, Aug. 22, at the Cookeville Golf Club. The celebrity dinner will also be held Thursday evening at 6 at the Leslie Town Centre.

Spaces are still available for both Thursday and Friday. Those interested in signing up a four-person team are encouraged to do so as soon as possible by completing the form at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org or calling the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation office at (931) 783-2003. One team of four players is $700.

The celebrity dinner event is open to the public with a limited number of pre-sale tickets available for $60 each or $400 for a table of eight.  No tickets will be available at the door. The dinner will include dinner, silent and live auctions, and a presentation by Bates followed by a question and answer session.

The CRMC Golf Classic supports these charitable funds: the Caring Hands Patient Assistance Fund, Cancer Care Fund and Pink Ribbon Save-A-Life Mammogram Project.

“We are excited about the golf classic this year and looking forward to hosting Bill Bates,” said Mitch Stonecipher, golf classic committee chair. “The tournament is such a wonderful opportunity to have a great time while helping to meet the charitable needs of patients in our community.”

The tournament is being presented by Turner Universal, with major sponsors Larco Medical Inc. and Journey Financial Planning.
