Competition is open to eligible small businesses that have used qualifying SBA capital programs

(UCBJ) — The U.S. Small Business Administration (U.S. Small Business Administration) has launched the Patriot Pitch Competition, a nationwide contest tied to the 250-year milestone of American free enterprise and aimed at showcasing small businesses driving innovation, job creation and economic growth.

Backed by a $1 million prize pool funded by Clover Network Inc., the competition is open to eligible small businesses that have used qualifying SBA capital programs. The effort is part of the broader “Freedom 250” initiative highlighting the role of entrepreneurs in shaping the modern economy.

“From the family farm to the factory floor, small businesses have punched above their weight for the last 250 years to power America’s economy,” SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler said. “This nationwide contest will award a total of $1 million in cash prizes to small businesses whose innovation, grit and leadership are helping build America’s next great era of strength, prosperity and competitiveness on the world stage.”

Officials say the competition is designed to spotlight companies demonstrating measurable impact in their industries, strengthening U.S. competitiveness, generating jobs and showing strong execution and financial fundamentals.

The contest will unfold in four rounds of judging before culminating in a live finals event in Washington, D.C. in September. Finalists will pitch before a panel of judges and a national audience for a share of the prize pool.

Alongside the competition, the finals event will include a supplier matchmaking expo connecting small businesses with larger corporations and contracting opportunities. Networking sessions with investors, policymakers and industry leaders are also planned.

Applications are open through June 10. Full eligibility details and submission requirements are available at http://www.sba.gov/freedom250.
