Camp Discovery is a camping facility designed to serve people with special needs

Cookeville – Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) off North Washington Avenue in Cookeville donated $1500 to Camp Discovery. Their $1500 quarterly budget was used to purchase all items left on the Amazon wish list for this summer’s camp.

Camp Discovery is a camping facility designed to serve people with special needs. Nestled on 183 acres between Granville and Gainesboro, it’s owned and operated by the Tennessee Jaycee Foundation. Campers participate arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, music, games, contests, sports, dancing, movies, cabin activities and swimming.

Camp Discovery exists to allow anyone with special needs to experience the joy of summer camp.

Jessica Lamb, Raymond James administrative assistant chose this quarter’s charitable donation

“I was looking for a local charitable organization to partner with when I saw their Amazon wish list,” said Lamb. “After reading more about Camp Discovery and the impact they make on our community, I knew this was who we should support. I’m glad we can help make summer camp a success this year.”
