Putnam sales tax revenue continues upward climb

PUTNAM COUNTY – August 2021 sales tax revenues for Putnam County and for each of its counties increased over 2020 numbers. 

“It was a great month for sales tax revenue in our County with a 11.8% increase over the same month last year,” said Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter, discussing the cumulative county increase.

Individually the sales tax revenue for all municipalities was up double digits with the exception of Monterey which saw a 4.7% increase over August 2020. 

For the first three months of the year, Putnam County’s revenue has increased 11.6% over last year.
