Plea Entered in February Federal Court Hearing
(UCBJ) – The sentencing hearing for Jamestown pharmacist Phillip Hall has been continued until Oct. 5, 2026, according to officials.
Hall was set to face sentencing today after pleading guilty to some of the charges stemming from his 2024 federal fraud indictment. He pleaded guilty to Counts 1-9 during a Feb. 6 hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
A plea petition and plea agreement were signed and submitted in open court before U.S. District Judge Eli J. Richardson. Judge Richardson accepted the plea while reserving recommendations until sentencing.
Hall was originally charged with nine counts of health care fraud and six counts of aggravated identity theft.
According to the Department of Justice:
“Between 2018 and May 2024, Hall allegedly submitted more than $6 million in false claims to Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE and Blue Cross Blue Shield. The charges allege he billed these programs for prescriptions that were not medically necessary, not actually dispensed, or not ordered by a health care provider.”
The sentencing hearing is now set for Oct. 5, 2026.
