The school has been designed with input from the community

On July 29, the new Park View School in Putnam County is holding a ribbon cutting.

The Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for the celebration.

“Join us for the grand opening of the new Park View School building,” said the Chamber.

The school, which has been designed with input from the community, will have student from kindergarten to fourth grade, according to the Chamber. A survey was taken, and public meeting was held to ensure “it (the school) meets the needs and desires of its families.”

“The new building will revive the Rockets, the original mascot of Park View Elementary,” said the Chamber.

Future includes expanding the school to accommodate Grades 5-8.

“Come celebrate with us and get a sneak peek of the new school before classes begin,” said the Chamber.
