COOKEVILLE – The Cookeville Regional Medical Center Golf Classic is quickly approaching. This year, the featured celebrity guest will be former Atlanta Brave, Dale Murphy. The tournament is a two-day event with a four-person scramble format to be held Thursday, Aug. 20, and Friday, Aug. 21, at the Cookeville Golf Club.
A sold-out celebrity dinner featuring Murphy will be held Thursday evening at 6 at the Leslie Town Centre, 1 W. First St., Cookeville. Major sponsors include Journey Financial Planning and Turner.
A few remaining golf team slots are available Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. Friday morning is sold out. Those interested in signing up a four-person team can do so by completing a form at www.CookevilleRegionalCharity.org or by calling the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation office at (931) 783-2003. One team of four players is $700.
The CRMC Golf Classic supports the programs and services of the Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation; with special emphasis on three funds: Caring Hands Patient Assistance Fund, Cancer Care Fund and Pink Ribbon Save-A-Life Free Mammogram Fund.
