School was designed with input from the community

Wednesday was an exciting day for the folks who have worked so hard to make the new Park View Elementary School a reality. The K-4th grade facility at 2000 Lee Seminary Road in Cookeville cut a ribbon its future today.

Celebration – Park View school cut a ribbon Wednesday.

“We had a busy day of celebrations today,” according to the Cookeville–Putnam County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber). “This afternoon, we visited Park View School to celebrate the grand opening of their brand-new building.”

According to the Chamber, the school was designed with input from the community through surveys and public meetings. The goal was to meet the needs of the community.

“The new building will bring back the Rockets, the original mascot of Park View Elementary.

In the future, the school plans on growing. The goal is to be a K-8th grade school. There will be an open house tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Students and parents are invited at 5 p.m. (student registration will be available). The public is invited at 6 p.m., according to the Chamber.
