Cookeville – The City of Cookeville Leisure Services Department and Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors (UCAR) is pleased to announce the winners of the Merry and Bright Holiday Home Challenge 2022. The contest, presented by Cookeville Leisure Services Department and Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors, had so many great and festive entries. All competitors were included in a Christmas Tour of Lights map that is available free to the community.

Christmas Tour of Lights map is available now.

“The Merry and Bright Holiday Home Challenge is one of my favorite holiday traditions that I look forward to every year, said Sally Herren, Cookeville Leisure Services recreation programmer. “My family is always excited to get the map and hop in the car to go see the hard work that each home puts into their display. This year, just like every year, it was hard to pick the winners for the contest. We love to have newcomers enter the contest, and this year we have six new homes.”

“UCAR is very happy to sponsor the Merry & Bright contest with Cookeville Leisure Services,” said Libby Capps of UCAR. “It’s one of our favorite events each year and to be able to share this event with our family and friends has made it a tradition. Each year everyone expands their displays, and we get newcomers who bring their “A” game. After seeing this year’s entries and our newcomers, we can’t wait to see what surprises next year brings.”

Judging took place from November 30 through December 4, and while it was a close contest, the winners of the following nine categories will receive $50 cash prize along with a yard sign with the name of their award.
