A new study has revealed the most in-demand jobs in the U.S. that you may want to consider.

Experts at the employee benefit app, Go Joe, analyzed the average monthly search volume over the past 12 months of various terms related to job searches in the U.S., such as ‘[job] vacancy’ and ‘[job] jobs’. Those with the highest search volumes have been deemed the most in-demand jobs.

“The data reveals that some of the most attractive jobs are those that combine working with a hobby or interest of the individual, such as traveling, photography, or working out at a gym. The average national yearly salary in the U.S. is $63,795, revealing that the majority of the most sought-after jobs are paid much less than the national average. This means the individual will have to weigh up whether enjoyment of the job or financial needs are more important,” according to Will Turner, CEO of Go Joe.

The most in-demand job is silversmith, with an average monthly search volume of 22,050. The average annual salary for a silversmith in the U.S. is $45,260, and most silversmiths go through an apprenticeship of around one to four years to develop the experience needed for the role.

In second place is pundit, with an average monthly search volume of 19,000. A pundit is typically an expert in a particular field, such as sport or politics, and provides commentary or opinions. A political commentator can make an average of $68,467 in the United States.

Personal trainers take third place, with an average monthly search volume of 18,000. A personal trainer can make an average of $68,677 a year, and prior experience working in a gym or fitness center can help someone to transition into the role.

Sixth place is taken by electrical engineers, with an average monthly search volume of 9,110. Typical duties include creating or maintaining electrical systems and ensuring compliance with all regulations. An electrical engineer can expect to make around $107,375 per year.
