COOKEVILLE – The Leslie Town Centre will be hosting its’ 20th Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Estes Williams Room of the Leslie Town Centre.
As a result of the continued support of local businesses and residents, the Leslie Town Centre has been the premier venue for celebrations, meetings and events for the past two decades. In an effort to give back to the community, the ‘Together We Care’ charitable giving program began in 2009. This program provides support to the many non-profit organizations that add so much to the quality of life in the Upper Cumberland region. The Leslie Town Centre Leadership shows their appreciation for these worthy organizations by subsidizing their booking fee, helping to defray costs, so they can better focus their resources on serving others.
Co-owned by the City of Cookeville and Putnam County, the Leslie Town Centre is supported solely by the revenues from its two venue spaces. The Estes Williams Center at 7,200 square feet accommodates up to 1,000 guests, reception style; and the Herald–Citizen Room, located upstairs in the Leslie Town Centre, accommodates up to 230 guests, reception style at 1,500 square feet. The building also houses the offices of the Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce, and the Highlands Economic Partnership. The Public Building Authority governs the Leslie Town Centre for the benefit of the community.
