New figures suggest slowing in hiring momentum
Unemployment in the Upper Cumberland worsened slightly in January, according to the State of Tennessee.
Warren County has a rate of 3.6%, while Cannon County sits at 3%.
Cumberland County sits at 4.7% and DeKalb County landed at 4.1%, up from 3.8% in December. Fentress stands at 3.4% while Van Buren stands at 3.2%. Jackson County stands is up to 4%, and Macon County’s number sits at 2.9%.
Overton sits at 3.8% and Putnam stands at 3.5%. Smith landed at 3.3% and White County’s rate is 4.2%. Clay County sits at 4.7% and Pickett County stands at 6%.
