Equipment manufacturer to create 25 new jobs and invest nearly $15 million in Greeneville
John Deere Power Products officials recently announced the company will expand its manufacturing presence in Greeneville, TN. John Deere Power Products will invest nearly $15 million and add 25 new jobs through 2025 in Greene County.
“This partnership reflects Tennessee’s ongoing support of John Deere’s sustained growth and expansion of our riding lawn equipment (RLE) business in Greeneville. For over 35 years, John Deere has been investing in our Greeneville facility, and customer demand supports further steady growth, both in our traditional RLE forms and our new electric ZTrak. This will require ongoing capital investment and modest job creation through 2025,” said Fabio Castro, John Deere Factory Manager, Greeneville
This expansion will allow the company to meet increased projected customer demand for the Z300 and Z500 zero-turn mowers.
John Deere Power Products is part of the Small Ag & Turf division at Deere & Company. The business was originally founded by John Deere in 1837 and engages in the manufacture and distribution of equipment used in agriculture, construction, forestry and turf care.
“Tennessee’s pro-business climate and highly skilled workforce allow companies like John Deere Power Products to find great success. I thank this well-known brand for its continued investment and appreciate their commitment to creating greater opportunity for Tennesseans in Greene County,” said Governor Bill Lee.
