Jobs available for seniors

UPPER CUMBERLAND – UCHRA is currently working to fill several vacancies in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) was established under Title V of the Older Americans Act and is funded through a grant from the Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration.

SCSEP provides income-eligible unemployed individuals age 55 and over with paid part-time job training positions within organizations or host agencies, like Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency, that serve community needs. While in the program, participants receive work-related training to gain the skills and experience they need to transition into unsubsidized employment.

UCHRA receives funding from Center for Workforce Inclusion, one of the many national sponsors of SCSEP. Center for Workforce Inclusion operates SCSEP through a network of numerous local non-profit, community, faith-based and government agencies in many states.

Counties served include Clay, Cumberland, Overton, Pickett, Putnam and White.
