UPPER CUMBERLAND – The following is a list of chamber meetings, business events and workshops around the Upper Cumberland. 

January 

Jan. 6 – Crossville –The Cumberland Business Incubator will host the Amazon Small Business Academy – Advertising webinar from 12 – 1 p.m. at the CBI. The event is free, but registration is required. 

Jan. 7 – Cookeville – The Biz Foundry will host the All Things WEB meetup from 6-8 p.m. at the Biz Foundry. Meet like- minded developers, programmers, web designers, general tech enthusiasts and even novices to chat, discuss projects, and network. Email for info.

Jan. 8– Cookeville – The Biz Foundry will host Digital Marketing 101 as part of their $10 Topics at the Biz Foundry. In this Digital Marketing Workshop, we’ll run through different ad platforms and how they all fit into an overarching digital marketing strategy and funnel.

Jan. 9 – Cookeville – The Biz Foundry will host a Ladies Lunch & Learn from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with TTU professor, Dr. Helen Hunt, leading participants through a five year plan discussion. What is your five year plan, and how do you go about making one. Free but reservations required. 

Jan. 13 –Crossville –The Cumberland Business Incubator will host the Amazon Small Business Academy – Amazon Live webinar designed for small business owners and their employees to learn best practices about selling in Amazon stores. from 12 – 1 p.m. at the CBI. The event is free, but registration is required. 

Jan. 13– Crossville – The Cumberland Business Incubator will host a training on Inkscape, a free vector graphics tool, similar to Adobe Illustrator. The cost is $15, and registration is required. 

Jan. 17 – Cookeville – The Biz Foundry will host Figuring out Your Audience as part of their $10 Topics at the Biz Foundry. Learn to break down who your audience is and speak their language. 

Jan 21 – Cookeville –Join in the first Pitches & Pints of the new year at Red Silo from 5-7 p.m. This event is sponsored by FedEx.

Jan. 22 – Crossville – The Cumberland Business Incubator will host the Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise (Go-DBE) to provide a workshop for minority-owned, women-owned, persons with disabilities owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, small businesses who would like to do business with the State of TN. 

Jan. 27 –Crossville –The Cumberland Business Incubator will host the Amazon Small Business Academy – Restricted Categories & Approval webinar designed for small business owners and their employees to learn best practices about selling in Amazon stores. from 12 – 1 p.m. at the CBI. The event is free, but registration is required. 

Jan. 27 – Crossville –The Cumberland Business Incubator offers ShopBot: Safety & Basic Use, a class to learn to use the computer-controlled (CNC) Shopbot router to cut objects, parts or art designed in 2D or 3D CAD. Create parts in a variety of materials. Once you successfully pass this class, you can user this equipment for your projects whenever you work at the CBI Maker Space as a member. Class fee is $15. Jan. 28 – Crossville –The Cumberland Business Incubator offers Vinyl Cutter & Heat Press: Safety & Basic Use, a class to learn to use the vinyl cutter to cut designs and the heat press to add graphic designs to shirts, blankets and more. Once you successfully pass this class, you can user this equipment for your projects whenever you work at the CBI Maker Space as a member. Class fee is $15. Register here.

Jan. 28 – Cookeville -The Biz Foundry and SAIC partnered to bring freeCodeCamp to Cookeville from 6-8 p.m at the Biz Foundry.

Jan. 30 – Sparta – White County Chamber Second Annual Chamber Awards Dinner at Duck Pond Manor beginning at 6 p.m. featuring The Wanna Beatles. Register here.

Jan. 30 – Cookeville – The Upper Cumberland Chamber Executives Association will meet at the Upper Cumberland Development District. For information contact Kevin Donaldson at claychamber@twlakes.net.
