COOKEVILLE – Seeking a partner with a track record for delivering construction solutions for municipal projects, the City of Gallatin has chosen J. Cumby Construction to update its water treatment plant.
The Cookeville-based contractor was selected in part due to its recent water treatment and wastewater projects, including sewer pumping station renovations in Sparta, the Booger Swamp pumping station in Cookeville, and the Livingston water plant. In Gallatin, J. Cumby Construction is responsible for the construction of a new carbon feed building, as well as chemical feed pumps and equipment to increase the water treatment capacity of the city of Gallatin.
“We’ve had the opportunity to do some work in Gallatin before, but this is our first project for the city,” Justin Cumby, president of J. Cumby Construction, said. “We’re honored to have been selected, and excited to provide a cost-effective solution that will improve water quality and capacity for city residents.”
Construction is expected to last 15 months, finishing up in late 2015.
